COMMISSIONING A BESPOKE SCULPTURE

Commissioning a bronze sculpture involves working directly with Helen to create a work of art just for you, either from a life subject or from photographs. If you don’t know exactly what you would like but are keen to find out what may work in your garden or at home, Helen can advise you, so that you find the right commission which is totally personal to you. Helen will work closely with you throughout the whole process to help you make the right decision.

 

PROCESS

  • If it involves a particular animal, Helen will ideally travel to see the animal, to take photos and measurements which may cost a little extra depending on your location. Alternatively, Helen can just work from quality photographs. 

  • The prices do not include delivery of the final sculpture, but these can be estimated based on your location. 

  • Payment is 50% upfront and then 50% on receipt of the finished sculpture.  

  • Helen will work in clay or wax, and she will send photos or encourage visits to see the progress first hand.

  • Once the final sculpture has been approved – Helen can either send photos or you can see it in the studio before it’s cast.

  • All commissions allow Helen to take a limited edition of your sculpture of up to 9 for her to sell afterwards. Alternatively, she is very happy to provide you with an exclusive design or very short edition, but this would have to be reflected in an increased price.

  • Please note that editions of your commission may be sold at a slightly lower price, but these buyers are not purchasing edition number 1 of a bespoke sculpture and have had no say in the development of the piece.  Also, if it’s a popular work, the value of your piece would increase over time!

  • Commissioned sculptures are not taken for very small sculptures, only for medium /large pieces to be cast in bronze or resin. The cost starts from £2,500 plus VAT depending on the size.  Prior to the start of a commission prices would be discussed and agreed.

  • Commissioned sculptures can take around 4-6 months. This is dependent on Helen Greene’s workload at the time. Often commissions are for a particular date, and so every effort would be made to reach the required deadline.

  • All commissioned sculptures are professionally packaged with the greatest care.

DELIVERY, RETURNS & REFUNDS

 

PAYMENT
Payment is required in full before your order can be dispatched. 

Payment can be made by Bank Transfer or Paypal.

VAT is included in the price shown, receipts showing VAT element can be sent on request.

 

DELIVERY

  • Price includes delivery between 9am & 5pm within the mainland UK.  

  • Deliveries before noon or on Saturday mornings or to the Scottish Highlands or abroad will incur extra costs. Please ask for a quote.

  • All items in stock will be despatched as soon as payment is cleared. 

  • For individually commissioned sculptures please allow up to fourteen weeks after completion of the project for the mould to be made and the sculpture to be cast.

  • Please email us if you need a different delivery address to your payment address or, for those familiar with PayPal, use the notes section to request it.

  • Breakages MUST be notified to Helen Greene within 24 hours of delivery (01258 881 344) and damaged items and their packaging should be retained for inspection by the carrier used by Helen Greene. Photographs should be taken and emailed to Helen Greene 

  • Customers will be liable for the full invoice amount if goods are signed for as “Received in good condition” and later found to be damaged.

  • If you do not examine while carrier is present it is essential that you sign for as “Not examined”.

 

RETURNS POLICY
Items damaged in transit may be returned within seven days of despatch and we will either replace them or refund the cost. If the item is damaged, we will take back the product and issue a refund or exchange, this will be minus our postage costs unless the item is damaged in transit. All products returned must be in perfect condition and resalable.

You should email us with the following information:
1. Your Name and address and telephone number 
2. Product number and/or product name
3. Reason for return
4. IF BROKEN – You must email us a picture of the packaging & the broken item.

We will send you a return email with instructions on how, and where to send the package. Please remember that all returned products must be in the original condition with all-packing material. We will issue a refund for any items that meet these conditions minus our postage costs unless the item has been damaged in transit, then a full refund will be given.


We can only refund shipping costs if the return is approved as result of our error or damaged in transit. The customer remains responsible for return shipping charges, including all items shipped to you free of charge. (Actual receipts can be provided when necessary.)
Note: Please allow 7 business days from the time the item is returned to process a refund.
